I actually removed the endplate/baffle on my exhaust.
If you dill out the rivets you should be able to use those holes you driled to pull the endplate right out.
I had to take a screw driver with a hammer and tap on the baffle to get it to rotate within the Tailpipe before it came loose.
Now it sonuds much louder, especially at idle.
